What this tells you

An online seller files with several government portals: GST returns every month or quarter, TDS deposits and statements, advance tax, the income-tax return and, for companies and LLPs, annual filings with the Registrar of Companies. This calendar lists the dates that apply to you over the next three months, so nothing is missed.

Answer five quick questions and the list shows only what applies to your type of business, GST filing option, sales channels, payroll and state. Add any date to your calendar, or download them all for the next twelve months.

Assumptions used

  • Dates are shown exactly as each rule gives them, with no shift for weekends or holidays.
  • Where the government has notified an extension, the extended date is shown with a link to the notification.
  • Always check the portal for any extension notified after this page was updated.
  • A question you leave unanswered does not hide any entry.
  • Conditions such as turnover limits are described on each entry; the list does not ask for your turnover, so check them yourself.

How this is calculated

Every entry follows one of four kinds of rule:

  • Monthly: a day of the month after the month the return is for — for example, the 20th of the following month.
  • Quarterly: a day in the month after the quarter (April–June, July–September, October–December, January–March), sometimes with a different date for the January–March quarter.
  • Annual: a fixed date in the same financial year or the next one — for example, 31 December after the year ends.
  • Event-based: no fixed date, but a number of days after an event such as the annual general meeting.

A date that falls beyond the end of a month (such as the 31st in a 30-day month) is shown on the month's last day.

Questions sellers ask

Are these due dates official?

Each date is worked out from the rule in the GST, income-tax, company or labour law, and each entry links to its official source and shows when it was last verified. The government sometimes extends a date by notification, so always check the portal before you file.

Why does a date not move when it falls on a Sunday or a holiday?

This calendar shows each date exactly as the rule states it. Online filing is usually open on weekends and holidays, and a due date changes only when the government notifies an extension.

What is QRMP, and how do I know if I file under it?

QRMP lets smaller businesses file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B every quarter instead of every month, while still paying GST monthly for the first two months of each quarter. Your GST portal account shows whether you chose quarterly or monthly filing.

Why do quarterly GSTR-3B due dates differ by state?

To spread the load on the GST portal, quarterly filers in some states file by the 22nd and in others by the 24th of the month after the quarter. Choose your state in the questions above to see your date.

Do I have to answer all the questions?

No. Each answer narrows the list, and a question you skip hides nothing. Choose “Show all obligations” to see every entry without answering anything.

Are my answers stored anywhere?

Your answers stay in your browser and in the page link, so you can bookmark the page. They are not sent to us. Only the reminder form, if you choose to fill it in, sends your details to us.

How do I add these dates to my calendar?

Each due date has an “Add to Google Calendar” link and an “Apple / Outlook (.ics)” download. “Download all (.ics)” saves every due date for the next 12 months that matches your answers, as all-day events with the official source in each description.

Want these returns filed on time every month?

We prepare and file GST returns, TDS statements, ROC forms and payroll returns for D2C and marketplace sellers, and keep track of each due date.
